Kente Ceremony 2022

Kente Ceremony 2022

For nearly 46 years, the Office of African-American Affairs has worked to support students from matriculation to graduation. This season of completion brings with it a particular kind of joy for all of us, students, faculty, friends and most certainly family. Again, this year, we are coming together to celebrate the Class of 2022 in a virtual ceremony. Whether you are watching this ceremony at 6 pm on Friday, May 20th, or anytime thereafter, know that you are joining with us in a very familiar tradition. Class of 2022, we present to you some of the vital parts of the Kente ceremony. We hope you will feel our pride as you walk the lawn in the cloth of generations before you. We hope you enjoy the movement.
