Celebrate your achievements with a time-honored tradition! Join us for the 20th annual Donning of the Kente Ceremony, where we honor academic excellence, resilience, and cultural heritage.

Everyone who RSVPs by the deadline will receive a confirmation email with further details by April 25, 2025.
Cost to Participate: Free! There is no charge to take part in this celebration.
Participation & Guests
- Eligibility: All students at the University of Virginia who are completing their academic journey are invited to participate—until we reach capacity for participation. RSVP as soon as possible to secure your spot!
- Family & Guests:
- Guests are welcome to attend as long as we remain within the venue’s capacity limit.
- If attendance exceeds capacity, we may need to transition to a ticketed ceremony and limit the number of guests per participant.
- Designated seating will be available for families and guests.
- Join us for a pre-ceremony reception at 5:00 PM in the AFC Lobby.
