Kente Ceremony 2021

Kente Ceremony 2021

16th Annual Donning of The Kente Ceremony
May 21, 2021 – May 23, 2021

Four years ago, you all entered UVA just in time to experience some of the most challenging times, yet you persisted, and today we celebrate that persistence. Wherever you are, we present to you some of the vital parts of the Kente ceremony. We hope you will feel our pride as you walk the Lawn to the stadium in the cloth of generations before you.

The SABLE Society Success Award

The SABLE Success Award aims to highlight two graduating Black students that have made a tremendous impact on the Black community during their four years at UVA. These students have redefined leadership, demonstrated Black excellence, and guided incoming Black students toward success. The SABLE Society would like to wish these two students an abundance of good fortune in their future and hope that they continue to inspire and engage with their communities.

Congratulations,

Briana Lynn Jacobs, School of Nursing, BSN Nursing
