Black History Month 2025: A Celebration to Remember!

As we close out Black History Month 2025, we reflect on the incredible moments of learning, empowerment, and community that defined this year’s celebration. From thought-provoking discussions to cultural showcases and wellness initiatives, every event was a testament to the strength, resilience, and excellence of our community.

The Office of African-American Affairs upheld its proud and storied tradition of celebrating Black History Month with a series of engaging and thought-provoking programs, events, and discussions held from February 1 to February 28 at the University of Virginia. 

The theme for this year's celebration was "Celebrating Resilience." The events offered a variety of perspectives, highlighting the rich history, culture, and contributions of the Black community and its remarkable resilience.
